DHS is looking for a company to fulfill a large request for “non-lethal” weapons. Agencies they list as needing these weapons are ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), CBP (Customs and Border Protection and Border Patrol), USSS (Secret Service), FLETC (The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center) and any “other DHS or non-DHS agencies” they want to give them to.
Weapons to be used against US citizens include:
- smoke canisters
- all different colors of smoke canisters
- OC grenades (pepper spray)
- CS grenades (tear gas)
- powder grenades
- rubber ball grenades
- extended range rubber bullets
