It’s finally here. The long awaited documentary detailing how the U.S. Border Patrol has long used secret and illegal coverup teams to obstruct justice and allow their agents to continue getting away with murder, sexual assaults, beatings, tasings…any use of force both on and off duty since 1987. The film focuses specifically on how current Trump CBP Commissioner and former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott used the teams to tamper with evidence and obstruct justice in the killing of Anastasio Hernandez Rojas on May 28, 2010.

For what it’s worth, Congress was aware of the film before confirming Scott as current CBP Commissioner. He leads the ICE agents in your cities today kidnapping your neighbors.

While this case is over fifteen years old, it is relevant today as the teams were moved from Border Patrol into CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) by the Biden Administration once their illegality was uncovered by the people you will see in this film. No accountability was afforded to the victims and families of these illegal teams. Additionally, CBP Commissioner Scott now again has command of these criminal teams and is using them to continue the coverups of abuses during the mass deportation and ICE raids.

If you’d like to learn more about these teams, feel free to check out my work. Articles can also be found on this Ghost account; podcasts are on Substack. No one has researched and written more on the teams, and much of this work has been viewed by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) and the Mexican Senate. TheIAHCR most recently found that CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott and those involved in the Anastasio murder must be tried in a court of law for his death. All pieces are free to read and share.

“Critical Incident at the Border” airs Monday night, HBO, 9pm ET & PT and is available for streaming after the release. While HBO is choosing to release this film during the holidays to bury its impact, please share it as far and wide as possible.
